Interests! (and astronomy link)
As was brought up by user madmarty it is an OUTRAGE that there are only 150 interests allowed! However, I understand the need to conserve space on LJ, so I won't yell at them. Also, while it was pretty nuts adding and deleting interests, it was fun evaluating my interests, what matters and what doesn't. I thought of adding "art history," since that's my major, but there's lots of art history out there. People generally think "Italian Renaissance" or "Impressionism" or "Cubism" when they think about art history. I don't. I don't really like that stuff. To me, the older the better, and I generally prefer Western and Middle Eastern art. It's simply the stuff I grew up liking.
I also try to make it as varied as possible. I'm so particular about what I like, but the subjects are so diverse. I'm all over the map. I like a few computer games, the ancient and medieval classics of literature, stuff by Shakespeare, Jane Austen and Daphne du Maurier; science (astronomy, chemistry, physics, biology), space opera and fantasy, cats, the ballet, certain music, and a few good movies. Libraries are awesome, and reading is awesome. I like nerdy things in addition to science (Star Wars especially). I also added a few keywords relating to specific female warriors I like, since that was the basic theme I started off with.
Aside, Dr. Walton gave us a kick-ass page for understanding cosmology. I hope NASA doesn't get rid of it.
