you kids shouldn't be out crucifying yourselves in this heat!
i moved back to plu on sunday. we've been training. it's pretty good. we don't have a lot of thing things, but we are doing a lot of little things throughout each day. except today, where we did emergency training all day.
i live on the third floor of ordal. alone. there is someone on the second and someone on the first floor. it's cool and it's creepy. i think everyone at work will get along pretty well. it's good. i'm living with some of my best friends and my job is awesome and the summer will be awesome.
there is still some unpacking to do. this is due in part to laziness and in part to having full days, which is so nice. i like being tired at normal times.
conferences gave us 1325 dining dollars. that is for roughly three months and three meals a day. thank god for the uc. and omm.
what else what else.. i've been home for i don't know almost 2 weeks. it's really like i never left. my only things are not remembering exactly were everything is and having my memories of college a little mixed up (i think last semester was fall etc).
i didn't make my room here perfect, but it's ok. i enjoy it. and it will be better when i get a couple more things. we are able to move into our house on saturday, but i don't know when i'll actually start moving things. i really don't have a lot of desire to start. i've got my own room here and everything is free, sooo.. maybe i will just make a sign for my room.
oh i went to a day of sasquatch. it was mostly wonderful. i really really liked fleet foxes. i didn't see a bad group. i was sad to miss okkervil river and the breeders. i actually should have left mia to see okkervil, but EVERYONE was SUPER excited for mia so i was like well i guess.. i guess mia was ok, but she is a lot better suited for not being on the lawn/probably being in a club. beirut was ok, but... the group is a bit different, right, but i think they (unintentionally) ride that difference wave a little too much. also, what, zach condon? 's voice is a little too syrupy and vibrato for me. this is a totally unfair comparison, but kind of like a deeper morrissey voice, except morrissey knows how to take it just to the edge of melodrama without pushing it over, whereas i think zach takes just a step or two past it. new pornographers were pretty good and had neko and... had what, dan? i think dan. the full group, anyway. dengue fever was a lot of fun. and johnny marr. johnny marr.
