so back when i scheduled my flight home from miami (the program provides a ticket to miami.), i decided oh what the heck and gave myself a pretty long layover. i don't know if i knew it at the time, but i've thought for at least a couple months that i had 9 hours. today i discovered that it is actually 19 hours. hmm.
but even better is that this one girl is on the same flight as me. we were talking and she's like yeah my thing said we got into miami at 11 PM so i scheduled the flight for 6 AM. that sucks. and i was like hey.. i think that is my flight..
and it's great cause it's a total coincidence. we didn't even know each other then.
but even better..(again)
what seat are you in? i've got 15 c.
so she checks. and is in 15 d.
it's just so funny. i really didn't expect anyone to be on that flight. much less sitting next to me.
so anyway, now that we have most of a day (we get in at 11:30 am) in miami and most of the night, we are thinking of things to do. so far on our list
marlins game
aquarium
zoo
beach
drive four hours to disneyworld or universal
get a hotel (only 100 bucks for a decent place) and watch tv/sleep all day
and then washington
and it's a kind of busy week there until i move back to plu.
and what else? my mom came tonight. she will be here for a week. tomorrow night we are doing turtle watching (with the group) pretty late and hopefully will see some turtles laying eggs.
saturday we are going to tobago to a place called turtle bay. we got the inclusive package, which means food and regular drinks are free (kind of) and i believe it is away from most of the main touristy places, so it should be nice to get away from that atmosphere.
then we come back for 1.5 days. then go to maracus bay beach hotel for two nights and a day.
busy, but fun.
oh, and i discovered a secret.
and i have some more books to read so i don't have to be stingy.
