The day

1) The visit with my parents and little sister went really well. We were going to go to Panera, but it was mobbed and we went to the Original Pancake House. I had a chicken andouille hash and it was AMAZING!! It probably wasn't the best food choice I could make, but it was a nice treat. The best part was getting a $990.00 bill. Laura, my mom, and dad all had steak skillets. Somehow they typed in 88 steak skillets. We all, in light of talking a lot about insurance and money, found it rather amusing. They fixed it, and the waitress was really nice to begin with and couldn't stop apologizing.

2) Then we went to the tux place. Now, my dad said the lady he talked with on the phone was rude. I've done nothing but gush about this place. There was a different lady in there when we entered, but the lady who helped me came out from behind the fitting room area and smiled and said "The Music People" good to see you again. She said she talked with several vendors and still no one has a music themed wedding invitation. I have to think my dad talked to the other lady working, because she wasn't nearly as friendly. Again, I think we got the right person to help us!

3) After his fitting, we left them to go up north for my sister's bridesmaid dress fitting. We went to BBB and did register pots and pans and a few other things. We then played a round of miniature golf. What better way to spend an afternoon in the upper 70's then just enjoying some time outside (and not mowing lawns while we do it) We then did pick up our order from WalMart and I picked up MLB2008 The Show. It is one of my 2 video games I allow myself to pick up in a year.

4) Laura and I then kind of spent the evening apart. I played my game and Laura played Civilization on the computer. So, now I have to play catch up at work. The good news is that I feel a little more relaxed about work.

Hopefully Laura will have some news about the whole mess at her school soon. You know I will keep you all posted.

fun, wedding, family
