And Now in other news

1) My beanbag partner Dave and his wife were blessed with the birth of a healthy baby girl over the weekend. She weighed in at just over 6 pounds and was 18 and a half inches. Mom and baby (don't know the name- but he mentioned Robin to me) are doing well.

2) Ben Rehder is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. He writes these redneck mysteries. Seriously, that is the best way to describe them. I started one on Saturday and I am 3/4 of the way through. (At best I read a book in a week and this will be done in a half a week.) They are such easy reads and I do find myself laughing at the absurdity of them.

3) In family news, it looks like my one sister will be heading of to U-W Stevens Point. She is at a two year school and has enough credits to move on to a 4 year. I am happy for her. My other little sister got accepted to Grad School at Arizona State. I guess they only take 10 or so students for her program, (Like she had anything to worry about, she always has outstanding grades) I am happy and proud of her!

4) I made dinner again for the family yesterday. I went with my old standby- Rotini with Italian Sausage and Peppers. Honestly, I got this recipe from Marriott food service at Concordia. I just made it my own way. It was one of the few things I really liked from my school's food service. The family really liked it. In fact, they all had seconds!! YEAH!

5) I think I may have Nascar on the bottom of my computer today. I can't believe they couldn't get that race in! We'll see how that winds up.

6) Mrs. Swollen made it in for all of 5 minutes this morning. The next thing I heard she had left. I'm not sure what is going on, but she is becoming like her old self again. What happened to zero tolerance??
