An Interesting Weekend

1) Comedysportz was hilarious. I seriously was entertained. We had a high school from Wisconsin on their senior class trip (all 20 of them) and they just didn't catch half of the humor. I have total respect for improvers. Some scenes didn't go super-well, but for the most part they were dead on. They did this one skit where they asked for different suggestions of "hobbies" "sports" and then they just warped everything. For example, I actually got chosen to name a sport I like to play and chose tennis. Then the ref told them it wasn't a normal racket, it was rather a.... "Baseball mitt" and you weren't playing with a friend you were playing with a famous dead person.... "Albert Einstein" anyway then one of the players was offstage and he had to figure these things out and they could not talk in English. Rather, they had to speak jibberish and mime. I caught some of the things they were doing to get the guy to figure it out. The four of us could not stop laughing. I think the funniest moment was when they did "World's Worst"- just like "Whose Line?" Although the suggestions kept changing. At one point it was things to say at a Bar-Mitvah. Steph, my favorite improv-er, says "Here's the spiral sliced ham". Our table burst into laughter and the rest of the place was quiet. We seriously couldn't stop laughing and the ref said "It's not that funny" and I yelled back "It is when no one else is laughing" That got a few of the improv-ers to giggle. I hopefully will get a picture of two up soon.

2) Then we went to dinner in Greektown at Pegasus. I had this Beef and Lamb in like a macaroni type thing. VERY good. Daniella had a shrimp shish kabob and Claudia and Laura both had a roast chicken dinner. The odd thing was that they had live jazz there. It was just weird to have good jazz in a Greek restaurant.

3) Saturday I came down with a bout of exhaustion. I literally had no energy. I had been waking up more and more tired throughout the week, but I slept until 9:45 (that's REALLY sleeping in for me) I did some dishes and then was still tired and took a nap until noon. I then tried to pick up my place a little bit and then was STILL tired and took another nap until 6:45 when Laura came to pick me up for 42nd Street. Needless to say I was not dressed, shaved, showered, or anything. I really wanted to go, but the show started at 7:30 and I could not get ready and drive 35 minutes to the theatre in time. So, Laura left and went with her parents and another friend. I heard it was good, and I really would have liked to have gone.
3b) Instead, I sort of watched the Nascar All-Star Race in between still more dozing. That got over with at 10 and I went to bed and slept until 9:30. Seriously, I didn't think I could sleep so much. I think my body just needed to catch up.

4) Laura called me and wanted to do some laundry (more comforters) so we took care of that and then dropped off a video at a coworkers house. She sees the surgeon again this morning, and that is the movie the sub is supposed to play. Then we went to her place and had dinner.

5) That brings us to this morning. I pulled the pork chops out, because I am making dinner for Laura tonight. She is picking me up since she will be out of school and then we will watch the Heroes finale together. (No interrupting) Oh yeah, my phone rings at 6:45 this morning. It's my mom on her cell. I am kind of freaking out that she got in an accident on the way to work or something. Nope, "Hey! I was wondering if you wanted to go with me to see the American Idol tour this summer in Rosemont?" How cool- yet weird. I am going to a teeny-bopper concert with my mom. Oh my gosh. I hope we have a blast. She doing something like this with my mom will be fun. It isn't often we get to do stuff together just the two of us.

Alright, enough yakking.
