Of all the things I thought I would never see in Detective Conan, of all the impossible twists and turns and plot complications I might have guessed that Aoyama-sensei would come up with, I never would have foreseen this:
YES, MY FRIENDS. SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY CHAPTERS INTO THE SERIES AND MORE THAN A FEW PLAYED-FOR-SERVICE JOKES, AND WE FINALLY HAVE A CANON GAY COUPLE. (O Eisuke, u so traumatized ♥) They're characters-of-the-day, granted, but I still finally have a canon reaction/background for Sonoko on the issue. ...And there is still no translation out yet. Woe.
Not entirely sure how to crowbar this into CFUD!Sonoko, since I've been playing her as pro-GLBT rights, and she looks a little shocked (to say the least) from the comic. At the moment I'm hoping to shoehorn the events into her memory as taking place about a month before she got to camp, but I'll probably have to wait to see how the arc finishes to find out for sure. And if it doesn't really work, I. Have no real idea. I guess I might just have to make a Serious Poll like Excel did?
Edit: Hearing now that this is a false alarm, and that the blond is actually a really manly chick. Going to wait for the translation to come out to see whether that's confirmed because I want to clutch vainly at hope for a little while longer.
