more than just the season
today is monday and school starts on wednesday. After carefully doing the math i realize how bad that sucks. and it wouldn't suck so bad if this wasn't pretty much the best summer i've ever had.
....i say pretty much knowing full well it was indeed not even close. the summer i worked at the keg wharehouse was good but still a joke compared to this one.
Yes, i still have my regrets about the summer. I missed out on seeing alot of my good friends in stoughton, missed the camping trip on miscommunication, and uh.... that's it.
But the negatives look stupid after all the postives.
My job this summer was easy sneezy. I didn't make much per hour, but i never felt like i really deserved to except for the first week and the last two. I still made out like a bandit the other weeks. I mean, who gets 8.25 an hour to play Wario Ware twisted and eat free meals? And the guys we had was an interesting crew, and oh yeah, we got paid to go to the bar.
I went to fucking Europe. I saw some of the coolest things ever that Western culture has to offer. Park Guell, the Mediterranean, the Sagrada Familia, the Gothic quarters of Barcelona, a exhibit on Picasso and the other painters of the four cats, the Cote D'azur, a billion cathedrals, the statue of David, the golden bridge (or something), The domed cathedral, a Da Vinci exhibit, had an apartment above a major piazza with the fountain of zues, statue of persues slaying the medusa, and the original rape of the sabines in it, the trevi fountain, the pantheon, the colliseum, the fucking vatican with the sistine chapel, and then unexpectedly the Sorbonne, the french patheon, Notre Dame, The Louvre, The Obelisk, Arc de Triomf, and the Eiffel fucking tower. Not to mention all the beautiful scenery you could shake a stick at.
But all that pales in comparrison to the beauty I had right back here in Amherst MA. I fell in love with the most wonderful person. She's cute, sexy, smart, funny, caring, a great cook, affectionate and so much more. She's my bestfriend and i wouldn't trade the time i've spend with her for anything in the world, and the best thing is its going to go on a lot longer. We had the best first date, and everything has been peachy since then. We're total dorks together, all over each other, and we're just a great team in general. There's nothing I couldn't do as long as I have her with me. She's my sunshine, the best thing to ever happen to me, and if you disagree I will fight you. She made this summer truly so much more than it ever would have been otherwise, and she makes me happier than i've ever been before. We'll be together a loooong time so if you like me, better hope you like her ;-).
Plus she told todd he's gay. That'll bruise his already fragile enough ego.
In multimedia front Radiata stories ships today i think, so it should be out tomorrow just in time to tag team with my girlfriend and waste all my time i would be spending on school... not spending it on school. Heh, tag team. Heheh. Advent Children comes out like crazy soon too. Like... 8 days. My only worry is that it isn't going to sell well because I've seen absolutely no advertising push for it at all. SO get the word of mouth out, this movie is going to rock your world, and then some.
Oh yes... wait for the and then some before you quit. Hey todd, you should like... come out to amherst when the movie comes out and we'll watch it like 2 or 3 times in a row and talk about the good old times.
Ok, i've wasted enough of everyone's precious time with my ramblings that i could have summarized with "easy work, trip in Europe, my girlfriend greater sign yours, peace". Peace.
