I was considering updating my journal with what would have been some essentially irrelevent thoughts on Thanksgiving, just to see if everybody that reads it is experiencing the same type of thing. It then it occured to me that you, being only "international" person on my Friends Page, would also be the only person who isn't doing the Thanksgiving thing at all today.
What I'm trying to say is that it's weird how some silly day can be such a big deal (family, the food frenzy, forced self reflection) on one side of the computer screen, and just another space on the calendar on the other.
It's relieving in a way. This season is so emotionally charged here, as you obviously know, and I dunno how things are up there in Canada, but the prospect of being able to enjoy November without all the turkey-hype makes me feel damn alright.
how the fuck'd you get fluent? yeah im ready bakan, cachai, po. yadda yada. cafe cafe, centro centro. theyre not even ready for me. ima show them some bailando bailando.
