So much work to do, so little motivation.
The good news is... I have finished all of my grad applications! and even met the deadline I set for myself of December 1. I will go to the post office tomorrow with eight beautiful manilla envelopes and take the first step towards the next chapter in my life. I am relieved and nauseated all at once.
Now there is nothing to do but wait to hear back and pray that I am not rejected eight times.
April is an awfully long way away. :}
But there will be plenty to keep me busy... I still have a major paper due in every class, and two finals. Plus I need to say quite a few goodbyes/see ya laters... and do some heavy drinking (errr... socializing?). Then I must pack up my life, drive it twelve hours south, and attempt to shove an apartment's worth of accumulated treasures into the tiniest room imaginable. But then... after spending excruciating time with my family for the holidays... I will be somewhat free.
Things I would like to do with my eight free months:
- Read everything, ever... or at least make a valiant attempt.
- Join a gym, and actually go on a regular basis... to become stronger, not thinner, and learn to use exercise as stress release instead of more self destructive coping mechanisms.
- Road trip... drive somewhere far away with no set course and my cell phone turned off.
- Snuggle.
- Save some f'in money
- Visit friends that are far away (London, Costa Rica, North Carolina... hmmm) even though this doesn't go with the above statement really...
