After growing up hating everyone who isn't Hikaru, Kaoru does his best to try and see the good in everyone. People are not always as bad as they may seem, something he's learned along the way. This is why despite everything people say about Badou, that he's disgusting, a jerk, an asshole, Kaoru doesn't listen to any of that. He remembers growing up and everyone thinking he and Hikaru were assholes for not interacting with other people, only keeping to themselves, and treating everyone like shit with their nasty "holier than thou" attitudes. Even if Badou doesn't feel the same way, which he's sure is the case, Kaoru will always give Badou a chance, the way Tamaki did with the Hitachiin. He will always believe Badou is a nice person. He'll always try talking to him. Sometimes even those who isolate themselves need someone to talk to every now and then, and Kaoru tries to be that person for... anyone, really, who is willing to talk to him. Kaoru is a curious person, an eavesdropper, sometimes he even pries into other people's business a little more than he should. He wants to find out why Badou is the way he is, why he doesn't have close bonds with too many people, why he is afraid. Kaoru finds Badou to be a very interesting person, and he wants to get to the bottom of THE MYSTERY OF BADOU! He ALSO really does want to get Badou to smile SOMEHOW, even if really is impossible. He loves to make people smile so he will try forever if he has to!
