the computer is just a big, dumb pencil

It's been a slow day. Okay, week. Okay. Couple of weeks. And you can only visit your normal surfing sites a certain number of times before you just get bored.

Luckily, in the past couple of days I've found links that could keep me occupied forever.
I started sketching Pixar characters on scrap paper at my desk. Lightening McQueen. WALL•E. Buzz Lightyear. Mike. Dory and Marlin. Flick. And then yesterday I stumbled upon the best books ever on Amazon. It's too late to add any to a birthday list. but I'll remember for Christmas. When my family is all I don't know what to get you. They're books that show and talk about the sketches and concept art that go into the making of a movie. The Art of Walle. The Art of Finding Nemo. The Art of Cars. And on and on.

And how can you not be in awe of that?

I remember when we went to Disney world. There was this one place where you could look through a giant window and watch one of the people drawing. And there were all these cells lining the hallway. I was still glued to the window after the rest of my family had continued on. They had to come back and pull me away.

That's what I wish my office looked like. Not that I couldn't do it if I wanted. Maybe that will be the future plan for these office walls. The movie posters come down. And kind of like John's office, lots of framed 8x10s go up in it's place. Except all mine will be from animated movies. Can you picture it?
