It has been a slow (and rather unremarkable) week for me so far. Unremarkable all round, really. Though the weather has been fairly cold and grey. Cold and grey weather doesn't really make you want to leap up from bed in the morning and do the conga or anything.
Still, I feel like I should do something - anything, really - before my brain turns to mush.
There is, of course, the stuff I've been doing for my mom; trying to compile a list of distributors we can approach about her books, for instance. Which is surprisingly difficult even with Google. However,
feral_kin (being the dear sweet, wonderful person that she is) has come to my rescue in that regard and so hopefully more progress can and will be made. And soon.
I did find
something rather interesting during my usual cruising through the net. I'm not sure how many of you have heard the phrase "women in refrigerators" but I have always been rather curious as to what it meant. Anyway, the link will take you to the official website where you'll find a
list of all the female comic book characters that have "been injured, killed, or depowered as a plot device within various superhero comic books" as well as the
responses from comic book writers as well as general all round
reactions from people.
Quite an interesting read, really. It certainly made me think.
