There's actually another picture of Clu in a dress, which I saw when I was over at the Clu's Minions or whatever that particular group is called. I didn't know whether to laugh or be concerned. I settled for both.
ETA: I've actually linked to it now as well as a disturbingly amusing picture of Sam's detached angry ass.
I believe the general consensus is that Clu can rock any outfit, any time. However, I'm glad that it's just a dress and not some kind of glowy bikini. My brain may well start to bleed.
The real reason he wanted Quorra is finally revealed! He needed an excuse to justify his fabulous wardrobe, maybe?
Perhaps he would've put on some elaborate fashion show for her once he was done with his speech. Or performed some kind of cabaret? (LOL, he'd be Tron's answer to Robert De Niro's character in Stardust, only with more sparkles!)
I strongly suspect that Castor survived. Think about it: the guy manages to survive Clu's reign and, if certain sources are to be believed, his purpose on the Grid entailed knowing just how to work the angles, so is it too much of a stretch that he have some kind of back-up plan - or indeed just a back-up, period.
Yeah I'd like to think Castor survived along with Gem who I suspect has a pretty close relationship with him I can just picture her parachuting off the building with Castor in her arms (well he is shorter than her).
I agree with you about Clu wanting Flynn's attention. My heart really went out to him at the end when he was trying to appeal to Flynn- he came across as quite naive. Tragic really. I like to think of Tron as being quite a polite Abe Sapien- type character who only aims to please so actually the two have something in common.
Then I think when Sam came onto the scene he presented competition as Flynn's real son. Clu probably felt that he would be rejected.
Gem is secretly badass, trufax. I imagine she's the one that's looking out for Castor, behind-the-scenes. Perhaps she's even the one that helped him make the transition from Zuse to Castor, fabulous club owner extraordinaire
( ... )
I'd like to see Alan and Tron meet up too. Tron seems to have the most respect for him above all other users. I guess that's what happens when you're made in someone's image.
Exactly so! Besides I can't help but find bewildered!Alan rather adorable in his own right. Tron (and even Rinzler, I daresay) would look after him, though.
I think Flynn was the rebel and wildchild while Alan is the more responsible, calm one. He seems to have put a lot of his own life on hold to help Flynn and his family (offering to adopt Sam, trying to keep ENCOM's values the same as what Flynn originally intended).
I think their relationship is mirrored by their programs, Clu and Tron in the grid.
Sam certainly couldn't have asked for a better foster-dad, I don't think. Poor Alan, you know his wife Lora apparently died some point prior to the first movie? It's apparently mentioned in one of the computer games so I'm not entirely sure how canon compliant the whole thing is.
Also Alan has his own son, Jet. Wonder if we'll see more of him in the sequels.
Yes she did, which I suppose also would explain the Tron/Yori relationship in a way. Which makes me wonder if Flynn couldn't have solved all his problems by making a program version of his wife for Clu - then again Clu probably wouldn't know what to do with her.
CASTOR! Poor guy, him and Jarvis don't seem to be getting nearly as much love as everyone else.

But on the subject of camp no one can beat Castor! He could be Clu's fashion designer. Pity he got blown up.
