I like the one where Toph and Iroh are married! I can really see that happening; they are kindred spirits despite the age gap.

They're my Avatar one true pairing!

...I kind of want to see what their child would be like! Aside from adorable, obviously.

Poor Zuko, I anticipate a lot more headaches in his future!

Iroh would totally spoil a little girl but he must have been a really good father to his deceased son too.
He and Toph would have a very relaxed style of parenting.

I still feel bad for him about that. You know, if he'd become Firelord then I suspect things would've taken an much different turn.

In some ways I think that Zuko has the potential to be like Iroh - a good leader, I mean. Someone reasonable and fair - whereas Azula always struck me as being more like her father.

It'd be interesting to see if they would be benders, and if so what element they'd be more inclined towards.

I agree on Zuko and Azula's relationship mirroring Iroh and Ozai's sibling rivalry. Azula is almost a tragic character since she has no compassion or understanding of weakness and she cannot handle it when she is forced to come face to face with her own failings. Zuko becomes more accepting of these things as time goes on.

It'll be interesting to see if there are flashbacks in Avatar Korra, so we can find out what kind of leader he became.

In some respects Azula and Zuko both are tragic figures, the difference being, I think, is that Zuko's innate goodness - and it's there, it's just buried between a ton of anger and resentment - is what allows him to redeem himself at the end.

What actually struck me as strange was, given what happened to give Zuko his scar, you'd think that he'd be more angry at his father than wanting to seek out the Avatar as a means to win back his dad's approval - the getting back home, I understand, and even the fact that he wants to reclaim his lost honor. However, I'd always thought that he'd have seen the fact that he stood up for those soldiers, was willing to go to bat for them, as an honorable act regardless of the fact that he lost the duel - if anything his father showed his true colors here, and should have cemented the fact in Zuko's mind that Ozai wasn't someone whose word he could trust.
