Small Geeky grump
I registered with Harry Potter Ohio soon after I got home from War. I am STILL not given permission to get into the site. I heard that the admin just got married (while I was at War) and did the honeymoon thing. Ok, fine. I get that. Is it too much to ask that at some point in the 3 weeks since I registered that *someone* would get back to me? I'm not a spammer- I swear! I just want to spread the HP geekiness with more geeks.
If anyone is on HP Ohio or has a connection there- can you please ask what's the scoop? I've registered as "Thestral".
On more of the geeky front. I'm still hunting down Wizard Rock bands that I like. I love the "Blibbering Humdingers" and have now downloaded three of "Draco and the Malfoys". They have a song or two that I just don't like, but can delete them from my playlist, so it's all good. I'm thinking of DLing a "The Parselmouths" CD as well. I usually don't listen to chick bands but they are fun.
Off to Harvest Day in a few. Should be a fun weekend of visiting with friends. This is one of only two events I am able to attend this fall. Busy, busy, busy!! I'm looking forward to Ginny's feast. She's said it's a meat lovers feast. Yumm!! Took me and hour of refreshing myself on a Gothic type hand to do the label for my cordial I'm entering (Demeter's Lament- a pomegranate cordial)and then three times to do the label because I'm dyslexic and kept spelling it completely wrong. Docs are packed, cordial is snugged in the feast gear basket with a clear glass for tasting, garb is packed and blankets and chair by the door. Weeeeeee!! I think I have everything, but I'm sure I'm forgetting something like I always do. :)
I've also started an SCA *ONLY* LJ if anyone is interested. It is brand new so only has two entries so far. I'm focusing it on my research and recipes for Meads and Cordials. I've been told a website with my findings would be helpful, but since I don't have a clue how to do that, then this will have to do for now. All personal things (of all natures) will still be here, but my other account will be only for B+V (might slide in a little equestrian findings as well- who knows).
