Flat Stanley joins the SCA
My nephew, Cole, has a school project. All the kids are given "Flat Stanley" and they are to go out and have an adventure. When Stanley ('s) comes back to school they will share their adventures with whoever wants to see/hear them. (pictures and a written story)
So I called my sister to chat on the way home from the barn today and she told me all about Stanley. I told her she had to send him to me and that he would go to Val Day with me and put on armour and fight! She thought that would be hysterical. So hopefully by mid week Stanley will arrive at my house so he can be fitted with armour for the event. I need to write up his story and take pictures and get them back in the mail to my sister Monday the 16th so he can make it back for Cole's class on the 19th. I might even be able to get Stanley a private audience with Their Highness's.
I hope that Stanley comes to visit so I can make sure he has a good adventure. I'm a little worried though that he might not have enough time to make the trip back and he might change his mind and go to Florida with my Aunt instead. Well, he'll be warmer there if he does.
So, if you see me taking pictures with a little cardboard guy, it's Stanley and please give him a warm welcome! :) :) :) :)
