Last night, er, this morning, Ash and I went to Galveston to watch the sun rise. It was my first time to ever see a full sunrise!! It was unbelievable. It was the closest to Heaven I've ever felt. We sat up in the lifeguard booth and just watched the sky go from navy blue to glorious, radiating shades of orange, purple, pink, yellow and blue. And when the sun first peeked through, man, that was nice. I got off the stand, rolled up my pants and waded along in the waves and prayed. I felt so close to God.
So if you're in the Houston area, or near a beach at all, definitely go do that soon.
Things I learned last night:
If you're trying to stay awake, don't rely on a Bollywood movie.
The moon is beautiful at 4 am.
Watching a sunrise is something everyone should take an hour and do.
Everyone should make a list of things they want to do before they want to get married and have kids.
Time spent with a good friend, is time well spent.
