This week the trend

Another week has flown by. Here are the highlights:

*Chilvary lives, even if only to appear once every 2 years. So it was pouring on Thursday and my group for the group project in DeMichele's class was meeting before our presentation. I had just walked across campus and gotten soaked, and now we had to walk from the Racquet Club in the Gym to go to class. One of the guys in my class gave me his umbrella and ran out the door through the rain to class. I was impressed. It was one of the first chilvarous acts I have expereinced since coming to UF. Someone's mom done taught him right.

*You never know who you might meet. The other day I met an elderly Indian gentleman, who did not speak English. He was staring up in a tree and I was wondering why. I asked and he answered by giving me a loquat.

* The guys at youthgroup saved 9-square for a week that I was there! Three cheers for 9-square. I used to think 4-square was cool...

* So during the lesson witht he middle schoolers, we were talking about how often peopel do things that are wrong because of money. At this point one of the kids interjects, "Thats why I do my chores!" hmmm......

*I finally got to go to Sandy Haystacko! It was beautiful, clear night sky, glittering stars, guitar music, frogs singing by the creek, and the cries of Chrissy as she befriended a colony of ants. Minus the ants, that did bring some comic relief, it was a refreshing getaway. On another note, have you ever stared up into a night sky decorated with smiling stars humming the tune to "Somewhere Out There", wondering if someone else is looking at the same night sky? Then you realized that where they are, it is not night, they are waking up and starting their day, and then the whole concept is shot. Fievel is such a little liar.

*After seeing Phantom again on Friday, I realized how much I really want a cape. Anyone can walk in and out of a room, but if you have a cape...now that makes walking in and out of a room so much cooler. And you can make that awesome swooshing sound when you leave....*WHOOSH* See, now you know that I have left the room!

Well that was my week folks. I hope everyone else made memorable snapshots of everyday life this week too.

......signing off
