The moon does look a little bit weird, huh..?

[ Understatement, but either way - Usagi (being Sailor Moon and all) is pretty closely related to the moon, so she's pretty interested in all of this. ]

[ Her own understatement has plenty of dryness to mark it- she's not exactly worried about anything yet, but... still. It's difficult to keep her mind from wandering after noticing a change to that of all things. ]

I'm going to hazard a guess that that isn't normal.

It isn't! At least, I thought the moon here looked more normal before I saw it weird like this today all of a sudden.. The moon back home doesn't look like that either, so it's a little surprising!

[ She doesn't really sound concerned either, more just.. well, surprised, maybe. Or interested. ]

[ Well of course, Lightning has no frame of reference for what the thing's supposed to look like aside from her time spent here under this one. As an 'of course' on the other hand, she's also reluctant to get into that, save for what's superficial. ]

Hm... might have to find someone who's been here longer.

Maybe it's like a thing that happens every once in a while.. Like you have lunar eclipses! We had those back home, and they only happen maybe once or twice a year, I think..

[ Frowning goes here- does she even want to know? ]

... You don't know what a lunar eclipse is?

[ For a moment she blinks curiously, but then continues. ]

It's when the moon goes all black for a few moments! I think it has something to do with the position of the sun and the Earth.. Ami-chan could probably explain it better than me.

[ Annoyed silence. How does that-- why in the world would the position of the planet affect the glow of the moon for just "a few moments?" She already gets what causes the phases - sort of - but... ]

... Magic? No way, if it was magic then the whole world wouldn't know about it, right? I think it's something relating to science, but that's why I can't explain it exactly since I don't understand stuff like that half of the time.

[ Well, at least you dare to admit that, Usagi. She giggles just slightly awkwardly. ]
