Athos is getting better.

Really, he is.

He's known for his taciturn nature and curt responses, but these things only work for so long in his own world, let alone one with people from several different centuries and places.

"Has anyone actually read these?"

He lifts the spine of a book to the camera, flashing the title of one before turning back and flipping it open to stifle a smirk at one of the passages.

"A charming bit of literature, no doubt an homage, but the author took some romantic liberties I'm not sure I approve of."

Like all men, Athos is susceptible to one thing: his ego.

ripe and ribald storytelling, i'm not drunk enough for this, inaccurate literature is inaccurate
