“And this here-,” Jack began, leading Ianto Jones into the last room of their tour, “-this is the decontamination room.” He leant himself up against the doorframe, arms folded across his chest as he watched the young man step into the room; his hands clasped too politely behind his back as he observed the immediate area.
The room was, for all intents and purposes, much in likeness to the communal shower rooms’ one commonly found this side of the twenty-first century. Or so Jack had always liked to think; a wicked sort of smile playing about his lips as he surveyed the room himself.
With its wooden benches lining the middle of the room, lockers and storage units pressed up against opposite walls, and the wet-area- where rows of shower heads were spread at even intervals along the white-tiled walls, Jack could not help but reminisce of times when shower rooms like these were used for everything but decontamination.
“Is there only the one room?” Ianto’s question was softly spoken, his voice lilting with that Welsh accent of his that made Jack want squirm every time he heard it. It was somewhat peculiar, to be sure, since he’d spent quite a fair amount of time in Wales thus far and heard more than a few Welsh accents in that time too. Still, something about this particular one…
Ianto turned to look at him, meeting Jack’s eyes evenly and with a confidence that Jack wholly approved of.
“Just the one,” Jack agreed with a slow smile. He watched Ianto intently a moment before allowing his gaze to roam down then up the other man’s impeccably suited form. He delighted in the slight frown of consideration that creased Ianto’s brow when he met his eyes once again.
“And do you share this room between both men and women?” Ianto continued, turning away from Jack’s examination and stepping further into the room.
“You aren’t the prudish sort are you, Ianto Jones?” Jack asked instead, grinning as Ianto shot him an over-the-shoulder smirk that quite obviously caught Jack in the process of checking out his arse.
“Not at all, sir,” Ianto said, moving over towards the back wall; his polished shoes clipping against the floor tiles. “Torchwood One had a much different policy on shared facilities is all.” Ianto waved a hand almost dismissively at his words before he reached out to touch at one of the taps. He twisted the nozzle until the pipes above gave a gurgling groan and a stream of dirtied water suddenly shot out of the overhead faucet.
Ianto easily sidestepped, his nose scrunching at the sight of the brownish water.
“If it’s any consolation,” Jack began, a laugh in his voice as he caught sign of Ianto’s obvious distaste, “we have little use for a room such as this down here in Cardiff.”
Ianto raised an eyebrow in Jack’s direction. Beside him, the water continued to chug out, slowly diluting itself to a clear and clean spray of water.
“That’s a pity,” Ianto commented somewhat absently after a short pause. He turned his attention back towards the shower, adjusting the temperature a moment before he stretched his hand out, his fingers slipping beneath the spray of water as he gauged its tepidness.
“Oh?” Jack asked, unfolding his arms. Ianto shot him another over-the-shoulder look, his smile almost sly as he answered.
“Indeed, sir,” he agreed, watching as Jack pushed away from the doorframe and made his way over. His pace was slow and steady- cautious, like the hunting predator stalking his almost unsuspecting prey- till he was up close and intimate with Ianto’s personal space; his every inhale catching every exhale Ianto let loose.
Ianto wet his lips, his look coy as he pulled his hand back from under the spray to touch at Jack’s cheek; wet fingers stroking downwards, leaving droplets of water beading against the scratch of the Captain’s jaw as he moved his hand from face to neck, thumb and index finger snatching at and tugging open the collar of his shirt.
“If you don’t use it, how do you know it’ll be in any sort of working condition when you do need it?” He cocked his head before tacking on a taunting “sir,” to the end of his words.
“I guess this should be one of your duties then, Mr. Jones.” Jack replied before moving suddenly forward, pushing Ianto up against the wall and grabbing at his wandering hand. “I’d simply hate for this room to be in any kind of disrepair should we ever need to use it.”
Ianto smiled, playful amusement shining in his eyes. “Quite,” he agreed, biting at his lips as Jack shuffled closer still; their bodies pressing tightly together in a way that made his heartbeat pick up and his ability to breathe almost non-existent. “And… ah, do you expect the usage of this room to increase now, sir?”
“Oh yes. I’m fairly certain we’ll need everything in functioning order now. Sooner, rather than later too,” the words ‘now that you’re here’ though unspoken seemed a given as Jack moved his face closer, his mouth hovering just inches above Ianto’s parted lips. He felt the Captain squeeze tightly at his hand before he entwined their fingers together. Ianto’s eyes flickered away from Jack’s gaze momentarily to watch as, once finished, Jack thrust their joined hands out beneath the spray of water beside them; the water instantly soaking through their shirt sleeves as well as the sleeve of his suit jacket.
Before Ianto could comment on the gesture, Jack pushed forward, his mouth pressing insistently against his own. Ianto made a surprised noise somewhere in the back of his throat as Jack moved to deepen the kiss without premise, his tongue slipping past Ianto’s unresisting lips to taste itself against the heat of his mouth. Ianto found himself gripping at Jack with his free hand, his body arching into the other man as he sucked greedily on Jack’s tongue; taking what he could from the kiss before they were forced to part for air.
“You want to be careful, Captain,” Ianto breathed out after pulling back from Jack’s kiss; his cheeks were flushed an alluring blush pink, his eyes wide and dilated as he panted out his words. “Any more of that and you’ll get me wet.” He cocked his head to the side, managing not to smile even a smidgen as he finished speaking.
Jack grinned widely, his eyes flickering to their arms, which he held beneath the spray of the shower, their clothing soaked up past the elbow already. “I’ll do more than get you wet, Mr. Jones.”
“Is that a threat, sir?” Ianto asked, licking his tongue in a swipe across Jack’s lips.
“Oh no, Mr. Jones,” Jack all but purred, “no. That was a promise.” He leant in once again, his lips moving greedily against Ianto’s mouth as he slid his free arm around the younger man’s waist, holding him tightly an instant before suddenly tugging them both to the side.
Ianto gasped out a curse as the water struck the top of his head; spilling down his body and swiftly drenching him from head to toe. He gaped at Jack with incredulity and disbelief. Jack merely laughed, his head thrown back with the chortle.
“I did warn you, Mr. Jones!” He smirked at Ianto’s expression.
“Sir!” Ianto exclaimed, freeing his hands from Jack and making to shove his new employer aside. Jack stood fast, his grin never slipping as he planted his hands against the tiles on either side of Ianto’s head.
“Do you want me to stop, Ianto?” Jack asked; the seriousness of his words masked by the hunger in his eyes. He leant inwards, rubbing the side of his face against Ianto’s cheek and purring encouragement against the younger man’s ear; his tongue slipping past his lips to flick out at the lobe of Ianto’s ear, sucking it into his mouth before a sharp nip had Ianto simultaneously pulling Jack away from his ear and pulling him closer to his body.
“Just say the word and this goes back to being strictly professional,” Jack murmured, his lips ghosting across Ianto’s jaw line, his hands squeezing encouragement from their hold at Ianto’s waist. For his part, Ianto merely rolled his hips up into Jack’s crotch, by way of answering; a minx-like grin twisting his lips as he ran his hands up Jack’s chest and up about his neck before jerking the older man downwards and into another kiss.
“I believe they file this under sexual harassment, sir,” Ianto breathed heavily against Jack’s mouth, gasping into Jack’s laugh as their kiss broke for a moment.
“It’s only harassment if you’re being harassed,” Jack returned, much to Ianto’s amusement.
“You don’t think this is- oh-,” one of Jack’s hands moved round behind him, grabbing a handful of his arse and squeezing just a might too tightly. Ianto yelped, his fingers pinching into Jack’s chest with shock as his cry was smothered by another crash of lips. Their kissing intermittent now, more fervent and wanton as they parted and joined with erratic eagerness, their hands roaming and exploring together, holding, touching...
“Ianto,” Ianto blinked through half-lidded eyes as Jack pulled his mouth away to call his name a little too loudly for the moment.
“Ianto?” His name came again and he forced himself to focus on Jack’s face as it swam in and out of vision before disappearing altogether. That got his attention. His eyes widened and he spun swiftly to face the doorway as his name was called a third time. And there Jack stood, dry as a bone and watching him with a curious sort of amusement as he took in Ianto’s drenched figure.
“Sir?” Ianto managed to choke out as Jack stepped further into the room.
“Is there a reason you’re standing under the shower, Ianto?” Jack asked, almost casually as he kept up a slow, deliberate entrance.
Carefully, Ianto stepped to the side, removing himself from the direct line of spray from the shower head.
“I was, ah, ensuring that all the facilities were still operational, sir.” He cleared his throat awkwardly, fully aware that he must look like a drowned rat to Jack with his hair plastered to his face and his suit drenched through.
“I see,” Jack bowed his head in a slow nod, “and that explains why you were standing in the shower fully clothed, how exactly?”
“I may have gotten myself a little distracted. Sir.” Ianto shifted, awkwardly. His clothing shifting with him as it clung to him like a second skin, moulding itself perfectly to the shape of his body- every curve and ripple of muscle, every evidence of his… Ianto suddenly blushed, watching as Jack’s eyes roamed along the entire length of his body, from top to toe before settling somewhere in the middle. His eyebrows rose with unexpected surprise.
“Why, Mr Jones!” Jack exclaimed suddenly and Ianto shivered at the way Jack said his name. Just like the first time…
“Sir?” Ianto dared to prompt, watching the grin that suddenly spread itself across Jack’s face as he stopped but a pace away from him.
“Whatever could you have been thinking about to get you so wet?” There was a leer in his words and despite himself, Ianto felt his cheeks darken further.
Ianto cleared his throat again. “As I was saying, sir, I was merely trying to ensure that everything was fully functional.”
“A-ha,” Jack made a sound of agreement, his eyes all but sparkling with mischief.
Ianto nodded his agreement, his eyes intent upon Jack’s own, “As this room is hardly ever used for its intended purpose, I felt it prudent to certify that everything was in working condition.”
Jack was nodding his head slowly, agreeing it seemed with his explanation until, “and then you got distracted?”
“Er… well, perhaps not distracted per se…” Ianto tried, “you see water temperature plays a rather large role in the decontamination process…”
“Does it really?” Jack enquired, still grinning.
“Oh, yes sir. There really was no better way to test it, you see.”
“Of course, Ianto,” He agreed and closed the space between them, his fingers reaching out to tug Ianto’s tie from the suit jacket he still wore buttoned up; it was the red silk today, against a white shirt and a water-darkened suit. Jack flicked his tongue in a quick swipe across his top lip as he stroked his thumb in a caress across the soaked material. “I can think of a better way to test the water temperature though.”
“Really, sir?” Ianto breathed out, his heartbeat accelerating as Jack raised his other hand to his tie also- between them, his fingers were quick to undo the knot and slide it from its loop about his neck.
“Why yes, Mr Jones, but we’ll need to get you out of these wet clothes before he begin…”
