OK... twice in one day... my my
I'm on a rant. As noted in my previous post I'm stuck working overnights tonight because of the sudden departure of our overnight manager. Well it was a pretty peaceful night until the fire alarms went off at 330 in the morning. It wasn't anything of note-chemical fumes from the brass cleaning company tripped the smoke heads. It was all over in about 8 minutes start to finish. During the whole time I was on the PA making announcements and even read the all clear twice. It was pretty calm and I had maybe 12 people in my lobby for a sold out hotel.
Would you believe that 45-60 minutes later people are calling down wanting to know what's going on and if they need to leave the building or go back to bed. Common sense peeps! If you don't hear the alarm and you don't hear any announcements after the one where I said it was over, go to bed!
