1. Go, Patriots! You in no way played like a winning team yesterday and I'm still not entirely sure how you won, but... okay.
2.
Stay classy, LT. You're right, the Patriots celebrating a win and mocking your steroid-using asshat of a cheater's patented dance is totally not classy, but aforementioned steroid-using asshat of a cheater doing said dance every time he records a sack? The epitome of class. Totally makes sense.
3. I'm really damn tired. And unhappy that I'm at work today. Grrr.
4. I think I need to lose the fic communities from my everyday filter. Nothing's catching my attention, and I feel that I am currently rather fandomless. I like a lot of shows and may write a little bit for them, but I don't have that one OMGMustReadMoreFic!Fandom right now. ::shrug::
5. When do pitchers & catchers report? ::twitch::
6. I owe
em_meredith final comments on her fabulous BSG fic. Y'all, it's really good.
7. Speaking of fic and fandoms, I need to finish that stupid friggin' Firefly epic so I can get it OFF MY DAMN COMPUTER.
8. I hate George W. Bush. Can't be said enough. Inciting incident of the day?
WASHINGTON (
CNN) -- Congress cannot reverse last week's decision to send 21,000 more troops to Iraq... "Frankly, that's not their responsibility," Bush said... "I fully understand they could try to stop me from doing it," he said. "But I made my decision, and we're going forward."
He said Iraqis should be thankful for all the United States has done for them since the invasion nearly four years ago... "We liberated that country from a tyrant. I think the Iraqi people owe the American people a huge debt of gratitude. That's the problem here in America: They wonder whether or not there is a gratitude level that's significant enough in Iraq."
Just... what a STUNNING misunderstanading of what's going on. The American public isn't behind his escalation plans because we don't feel the Iraqis are THANKFUL ENOUGH? WTF? Couldn't it possibly be that, you know, his administration 1. lied to get us into the war; 2. let Osama bin Laden escape in Tora Bora because Afghanistan didn't have enough bombable targets to hold their interest; 3. ignored the Constitution and detained American citizens without charging them with a crime; 4. fucked up the war by not putting enough troops on the ground in the beginning, when it would've mattered; 5. squandered billions on contractors without actually getting power, water, sewers, etc., back up and running; 6. didn't trouble itself to count how many Iraqis have been killed so far; 7. were dealt an enormous bitchslap by the American electorate; and 8. blithely ignored advice from the Generals, military experts, the Iraq Study Group, and pretty much every one else not on the Fox network who has expressed an opinion on the war in the last year to not only not start bringing our troops home, but committed more troops to a deadly, losing effort! Maybe THAT'S why we're mad.
Just thinking out loud here.
