[TUESDAY | AFTERNOON] 01 : Therefore, I am unwilling.

Sep 14, 2007 03:11

Note: despite the fact that this journal is needed by SEES, I still have my qualms about it.

(I still say that this totally puts the promotion of student interaction in a backward motion. Geeks become geeks because they have blogs the internet computers, after all, and their willingness to actually communicate with normal humans will soon fade because of the existence of these kinds of sites. Seriously. Antisocial people will become even more antisocial now (no, I'm not talking about myself, stop reading what I'm writing from over my shoulder, Maya), because human interaction will be replaced by these... what do you even call them again.

Hn. Blogs. (Or so says my sister from somewhere behind me.)

Well, then again, its for SEES. So I suppose it can't be helped.

Anyway. Our "transfer" to the dorms is complete, although I only mean this in a way that our things are out of our old house and are now at, consequently, the dorm's lobby. We have to wait for room assignments from the Chairman.

I'm typing this at the school library while Maya is trying to find manga in the shelves. I doubt any will turn up, though--this is a school library, after all--(I've told her this but she refuses to accept it until she gets disheartened first-hand). Well, you can't say I didn't warn her.

So far I've seen some fellow classmates who are also SEES members (meaning: I saw them at the dorm, despite the fact that I haven't even slept a night there). Haven't gotten the chance to get to know anyone, yet; but Maya looks like she's going to work on it. Well, I'll leave the talking and socializing to her (as usual).

I think I've written enough for the day; here I am typing up sentences to pass the time when I just mentioned how blogs (or journal logs, whichever) were the enemy of human interaction. Okay, I'm feeling like a hypocrite right about now. Hn.

And besides, I thought I heard the librarian screaming at someone who toppled over the books. Must be my sister.

Definitely my sister.

(Is she using her natural noise in the library, of all places, to get to make new friends?)

For crying out loud, I hope not.
