Sydney couldn't exactly say that she was in any way satisfied by what this trip had shown her so far. It was beginning to get more and more difficult to justify everything here as an illusion, and her rational mind fought against the urge to just give in and accept things.

If this was a test, then the leaked information was meant to be acted on, and they would probably be judged on how they responded. But responding was falling directly in line, wasn't it?

That might, however, be the only way out of here, and she knew it.

As she moved through the streets of Telos, she wondered how much time she would have before Shiori woke up back at the apartment they were staying at. She hoped it was long enough to really take a long around.

And lo, there was a Sydney.

Sark had ducked into an alley, the moment he spied her on the street, carefully blending into the crowd, lest she catch sight of him. He pressed himself against the wall, calculating how far she was from his position and roughly how long it would take her to get there.

3... 2...

At 'one,' he swung a hand out to grab her by the wrist and pull her into the alley, anticipating this would provoke a fight- if anything, he was almost banking on it. The alley wasn't that small and he did delight in their little skirmishes. Besides, if this was a trap, they'd both need to be on their toes.

If it was a violent reaction Sark wanted, he sure as hell wasn't about to be disappointed. Yanked off balance, she quickly shot an arm out to steady herself against a wall long enough to snap a leg up in the direction of her attacker's head, ready to twist his grip backwards when he slackened it at all.

The exhilaration works its way through him and he backpedals and ducks to avoid the kick, letting go of her wrist and grinning like a maniac, allowing Sydney the benefit of seeing who her attacker is before he grabs her ankle and twists with the intent to overbalance her.

He'll get to the proper greeting later. This is fun.
