Jack was glad for the lack of rifle aiming. He was still keeping his blaster out, but wast starting to feel more comfortable around the kid. There was an innocence to him that Jack was beginning to trust. That, and he admitted to being an Outworlder, which was a potentially dangerous thing to say on a day like this one.

"Luke." Jack said, saying the name to help him place it. "I think we did talk on the datapad... my first day in. Well, this time that I can remember, anyway."

Jack referred to the fact that there had been reports of him being in the universe before he arrived this time, but he couldn't remember it. He'd assumed he ret-conned himself to make him forget the experience.

The man remembered a conversation with the kid, since he had found it so surprising for a boy Luke's age to be on his own in a place like this. Jack recalled offering his help if the boy ever needed it. It seemed like today might be that day.

"Glad to see you're still around... though that rifle looks a bit big for you. I'll let you borrow one of my blasters if you want." Jack offered, knowing that he was in no shape to dual wield anymore with his arm still throbbing.
