BRENNAN -- 11/21ish

[So, here he was. Alone in the world with jack shit to his name and nowhere to go. It burned inside him, the pain that came with being thrown out of his Enterprise family. And, as if that wasn't enough, he got his ass handed to him by Peter. There was a desire to improve himself, to finally reach for the opportunities in front of him and seize them. If they wanted a monster? He could give them one.

The first step was to start severing ties. That, and to take something that was actually useful. Brennan made as good of a stepping stone as any. Maybe part of him felt a little guilt over targeting him, but he would get over it. It was becoming easier to ignore things like that.

So, in conclusion, here Sylar is, in front of his apartment and knock-knock-knocking on his door.]

[Brennan was still unwinding from his trip, and conveniently enough he had the place to himself when Sylar comes-a-knockin'. So convenient, I know right. He's a little confused when he answers the door because he and Gabriel haven't really spent any time together since he turned over custody to Jo, but it's not like he was some stranger either so it's dismissed easily enough]

Hey, man. [Brief pause, because part of him is afraid that Gabe is here asking for a place to crash at all over again] Is everything alright?

[intuitivelyapt]

[Totes. He jams his way past Brennan to the inside of the apartment, because he has no respect for other people's property. Also he kind of lived here for awhile.]

You have no idea. [He places a hand on his shoulder.] What do you do? What can you do when life has left you with nothing? It's all so ... desolate. Hopeless.

[seneca]

[Well, come on in. >/ Brennan closes the door after Gabriel moves inside, then turns toward his uninvited guest just as that hand goes to his shoulder and Gabriel starts talking hopelessness. He immediately assumes that this is about Jo turning him down again because ... hasn't that happened a couple of times already now?]

Did you guys get into a fight or something? [He won't mention Jo specifically because Gabriel is a delicate snowflake (aka homeschooled) and he doesn't want him to start crying or anything. He'll do his best to be sympathetic though]

[intuitivelyapt]

It's worse than that. [He shakes his head.] They threw me out. Just because I was different. Special. [And then he tilts his head, giving Brennan an ~intense glance of intensity~.] You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?

[Alright, so this was beginning to sound like it was about something altogether different than Jo. And that intense glance of intensity was starting to make him a little uncomfortable. He really hoped Gabriel wasn't misinterpreting his friendship here]

These are the same people who locked you up the last time. Just give 'em some time and I'm sure they'll come around again.

[intuitivelyapt]

It's not about that, Brennan. They won't. Not now that they know who I am -- what I am. [His hand moves from Brennan's shoulder to loop around him. How else is he going to get all close and creeper-whisper in his ear.] But you know. I know you know, because I saw you. When you saved me. You used that power you have, I saw it. And now? It's gonna be mine.

[Okay, so Sylar is officially the weirdest person he knows. But thus far, that's all it is. Brennan still considers him a pretty harmless guy. Hell, he was downright pathetic the entire time he was sick.

But he's still going to fucking unwrap himself from Sylar's arms after he's done whispering sweet nothings into his ear--if only because personal space exists for a reason. He thinks they both need a drink at this point]

Sorry, it doesn't work like that.

[Pffft what's personal space. They don't teach that shit in homeschool.]

With me it does. [And with that heartfelt declaration, he puts his fingers against Brennan's neck like he's checking for a pulse only he's actually ... sucking on a force McFlurry.]

[Sylar you are so fucking weird. Behold, nothing happens and you are touching him again. o____o

This only serves to earn you a suspicious look and ... more space between them as Brennan leans away from the fingers on his neck.

Look, he doesn't know how they do things in homeschool but--]

[Oh for fucks sake. X( WHY ISN'T THIS WORKING. ] I'm absolutely peachy.

[For his next power grabbing attempt, Sylar will throw him against the wall with TK and ... since he doesn't immediately see anything to knock him out with, he'll just throw him back and forth against it repeatedly. Until he dies or loses consciousness or something.]
