I think I am beginning to appreciate this 'force'. So many ways to apply it! I have been practicing with combusting organs. There is only need for one kidney, yes? [She hasn't done anything so severe to the girl next to her yet, but who can tell with the way she's passed out.]

If she's dead, Lestrange, I swear to god--

Please dear. Use your head. What is the point of a dead hostage? [Don't you people know anything?]
(OOC: It's likely that Bellatrix banged Amy up a bit while grabbing her, but I'll leave the injuries up to Mellie!)

She stirs, moving slightly. A moan escapes her lips as she does so.]
(OOC: Totally a-okay to bang up the Pond. Scrapes, bruises, do your worst Bellatrix.]

[She looks over at the other woman as she moans, a mix of worry and relief evident on her face] I'm here now. Let her go.

[She crooks a finger at Lily. All the way over here. She holds her knife at the unconscious girl's throat, drawing a bit of blood at the point.]

And then there's something sharp and she starts awake, eyes wide, mind disoriented.]

I was willing to come to you before this, you didn't need a hostage. But now that you have one, I'm not going to let any harm come to her. If you kill her, you don't have a bargaining chip. I'm far away enough from you now that I will escape if she's dead.

Then I will let her go as soon as you come here. [It's like talking to an unruly dog.
She pulls the knife away from Amy's neck a little, the blade no longer touching her skin.]

Eyes locked on Bellatrix, Lily is quietly calculating through the various possibilities of what might happen.] I'm coming. [She walks slowly, cautiously, as if she'd prepared to flee at any moment. The truth of the matter is that no matter what, she's handing herself over and getting that hostage out of here. She won't let anyone else die because of her]
[ooc: Mellie's gone out for the night and said to godmode around Amy /o/]

[Dog. Bellatrix watches in smug silence as Lily starts moving closer to her, eyes locked on her, ignoring the girl at her side... until Lily is only a couple feet away from her.
They play on Bellatrix's terms. There will be no trade.
Her change in expression is the only indication anything has changed-- first she smiles sweetly, and then her eyes narrow, hands motioning towards Amy, sending out her newest discovery with the Force.]

It is, as it turns out, necessary. Things move so fast that Lily doesn't have time to think, but even if she had, it isn't likely that things would have turned out differently. Bellatrix smiles that sickeningly sweet smile and Lily steps faster; she has a split second's warning through the Force before the woman moves and a blast of energy crashes towards Amy.
She can't let someone else die for her. She won't.
There's no time, and she's not powerful enough to stop that blast on her own anyway. She does the only thing she can, running those last few steps to shove Amy out of the way; the blast hits her full in the chest and she has a split second to realise the burn before there's a sharp crack and everything is gone]
