What: The first meeting of what is to be the new Jedi Order made up of Outworlders

On one of the many beaches of the Hawaka islands stood a large durasteel platform which extended out over the water. At the center of the platform stood Anakin Solo, the sea breeze ruffling his hair and clothes. He was dressed not in Jedi Robes but in normal civilian clothing. He hadn’t wanted to give of the impression that this was anything too formal. Not to mention he was infinitely more comfortable in his boots, trousers, tunic and flightjacket.
In rows of circles around Anakin sat all those who had shown interest in the new Jedi Order he and his brother, Jacen Solo, had decided to begin.
Everyone sat in a circle, not only so Anakin could be seen by everyone but so everyone could also see each other. Anakin wanted to make it clear that although he was their leader everyone was to be viewed and treated as an equal.
“Thank you all for coming,” he began. “I’m assuming most of you know me by now but for those who don’t my name is Anakin Solo, Jedi Knight and former apprentice of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.”
Anakin began to slowly pace within the circle, making eye contact with various members of the audience as he spoke. “You’ve all come here because you are curious in the ways of the Force but you feel as if you don’t belong among the Jedi of this time. You are not alone in feeling this way. Many of us, me included, wish to continue expanding our knowledge of the Force without the foolish parameters the Jedi of the Old Republic have set. ”
“To most of you the Force is something new. It’s not part of your world. Here,” he said spreading his arms for emphasis. “The Force is everything. It is within all parts of life. The trees, the rocks, the water. The very air you breathe is but one aspect of it. Here things work differently. Not only does the Force make you powerful but it also makes you more susceptible to corruption. Not the typical corruption you see in the streets but corruption of a more tragic sort. Corruption of the spirit through your emotions.”
“The Jedi Order understands this but they would have you believe your emotions are to be ignored.” Anakin stops for a moment, squaring his shoulder before pressing on, “The Jedi Order of my time has learned from that mistake. Emotions are not to be ignored. They are to be mastered.”
“For those of you with any knowledge of the Force you will have noticed I haven’t said anything about the Light side or the Dark side. That’s because it’s foolish to think life and the Force can be simplified in such a way. The Force is only one aspect of something greater. Something no one, not even Darth Revan, understands.” As if to drive a personal point home, Anakin glanced over at Jacen, who stood off to the side with his arms folded. “We won’t be focusing on what is Light and what is Dark but what is right. We are still Jedi but we are a new kind of Jedi.”
“Having said all that,” he said with a smile. “I’m not the only one here who can talk. So begin by discussing what we should call ourselves, how we’re going to function on a galactic scale and anything else someone would like to bring up.” With that, Anakin allows his presence to grow smaller as a way of opening the floor to discussion.
