Characters: Laura Kinney and open Location: The city streets, somewhere vague Planet: Coruscant When: Thursday night What: Exploring! Rating: Uhmmm... PG?
[Jo's on her way back from a random bar, calling it an early night. She's won enough money from idiot men to put a big old smile on her face, and she walks with a cocky swagger on her way back to the Enterprise.
She's barely tipsy, but it's a good enough buzz that she's not really paying attention to where she's going, since the path to and from the Enterprise from the bar is etched into memory by now.
So she's surprised when she bumps shoulders with someone, and stops to offer them a silent apology, her mouth dropping open into an 'oh, oops, my bad' gesture.
Then she sees it's a kid, and her eyebrows arch, concerned.]
Y'know, I normally don't make this kinda stuff any of my business, but you better be careful if you're heading that way. Dockside bars don't bring girls anything but fist fights and trouble.
[The libraries on this planet were ... daunting to say the least. They also were not the only avenues for collecting information, at least not if you were an occasionally nosy telepath.
When his ass was ready to go to sleep from sitting for hours in the library, Charles figured a little leg work research wouldn't be amiss, so he'd found his coat and headed out onto the streets. He didn't have any specific destination in mind, the idea was simply to walk about and 'listen' in on whatever tidbits caught his attention.
Head down, hands in the pockets of his coat, he made a fairly unassuming figure as he wove his way through the incredibly varied crowd of humanoids and other sentient beings. This place really was a rich treasure trove of genetic diversity and Charles was briefly distracted by a Twi'lek.
[Laura is also distracted by that Twi'lek, for actual scientific purposes. She's wondering what those tendrils are for. Probably unlike Charles, she's staring pretty openly.]
[Of course she doesn't recognize him. How could she? He smells oddly familiar, though, and that gives her pause. She's peering at him a little more closely than is strictly necessary.]
[Oh hey, he's another one who doesn't know anything about this place, he doesn't feel the need to as he's confident, at least just now, that he'll return home. Dinin is by a stall, pressing tinted glasses to his eyes and looking around. He still has to squint, but his time here has allowed him to gradually find it less and less difficult to see in the light. He still wants the comfort of darkness however and he settles on getting a pair of goggles.
As he turns to leave the stall he bumps into someone and grunts as he steps back, glaring at the...human? Great.]
Watch it! [He was at fault, but like he was going to admit it. He stands there and brushes himself off as if the encounter had left something horrible on him.]
[Laura glares right back, pausing to look him up and down. She's never seen anything like him before, but she's mostly pretty obviously analyzing him to see if he's a threat.

I will be fine.
[Wait, she was being nice, right? There's an awkward pause.]
Thank you.

How old are you supposed to be? If you're meeting some guy out here, at least let me make sure you get to him okay.

[Now it's Laura's turn to check this girl out. She doesn't look very big or threatening, but then again, that doesn't mean much.]

Completely for scientific purposes; honest!]
