Characters: Luke Skywalker, Rory Pond Williams, open to Leia Organa
Location: A public pool somewhere in the vicinity of the Outworlder apartments on Coruscant
When: Saturday
What: Swimming?
Rating: Most likely G.

The saltwater swimming pool was just... set into the floor, about three meters deep or fifteen 'feet', as some of the Outworlders measured distance. It didn't have raised sides like a proper water tank. It was more like one of the vehicle pools Luke was used to, as if someone had just removed all the machinery and flooded it. Two of the sides even had submerged steps in them. The whole thing gave him the weird feeling that if he wasn't paying attention to his feet he'd miss that it was there entirely and walk into it or something.

There were not that many people here right now, and Luke steadfastly refused to look at most of them, because a glance would turn into a longer look and that would just be awkward. On Tatooine any exposed skin was subject to sunburn and wind scar, not to mention sand abrasion. This wasn't Tatooine, but it was cold, compared to his homeworld, and Luke had no idea why people would wear dedicated swimming clothes like those. Male humans weren't even wearing shirts! There were bare knees and shoulders everywhere! So he didn't look. His own outfit was rather more modest, a sort of unitard without sleeves and with legs that only went far enough to cover the knee, and he was self-conscious enough about his own bare arms and ankles.

He wasn't sure about this whole thing. At all. But if the Outworlder Jedi were going to Dac or Mon Calamari or whatever other names the planet had, Luke wanted to come with them. And most of that planet was ocean. It would be stupider not to learn to swim.
