Characters: Leia Organa and Han Solo
Location: Leia's room on Coruscant (C-6)
When: Just after Tenel-ka's announcement of Jacen's death
What: Not knowing how or what to grieve
Rating: Most likely PG

Leia sat on her bunk, wondering how to move. She'd told Han she needed to process. The word didn't even begin to describe what she needed.

Jacen Solo. Just a name to her, she'd thought, when the announcement came. The loss of anyone was a blow, she knew that as a commander. She wasn't a commander here, but the instincts were the same. Still, just a name.

Han's son. And, apparently, hers. He wouldn't lie about that, not at a time like this. Besides, Han might be a scoundrel, a smuggler, and all sorts of trouble, but he was honest.

Their son, from the future, pulled here just as they'd been.

And he was dead.

What was she mourning? A son she hadn't met, a future she didn't know?

She had to talk to Han. But he was also now a source of even more confusion than he had been. They'd never so much as kissed, never anything, and now they had a dead son who she'd only found out about a few minutes ago.

Leia wanted her father Bail as she'd never wanted anything. Or her long-dead mother, the one who was no more than a wisp of memory. Even the destruction of Alderaan hadn't left her feeling this...overwhelmed. She'd had a goal and a direction to concentrate on: forward. But now the Empire was four thousand years in the future, and forward led into more bits and pieces of a life everyone seemed to know about except for her, and that would be aggravating if she weren't still stunned. If Revan were here, she'd blast him for that alone.
