[YEAH WELL SHE'S SUFFERING. She's currently curled up in a ball on the floor, hugging a nice bucket she had been considering using to clean, or hiring a droid to use to clean. Whatever, details are unimportant now.

All that matters is that she feels worse than she did before, and now there's more than just coughing and flu symptoms. Whatever Anakin had given her before, it didn't do anythign in the long run and now he was gone.

He had left her, and she got worse.

God, she hates her life.

Upon hearing her name being shouted, she wants to shout back, but instead just rolls over to lay on her back, because that's easier than screaming.]

I'm over here, thank you for bothering to show back up.

[Seeing her on the floor legitimizes his fears. Rushing over he sits her up and gets down beside her and pulling her into his arms.]

I'm sorry I left you.

[He pulls her in closer, afraid that if he were to let her go he'd lose her. When he speaks again his voice is barely a whisper.]

I thought I figured it out. I thought I saved you. I thought I saved everyone.

You should be. [She grunts in protest at being moved as he pulls her to sit up, and although she wants to hit at him all she can do is glare as she flops her head over to rest up against him. Resting is nice. ]

Sorry that you left. Not sorry that you couldn't save me.

[her glare softens, mostly because it's too much work to keep on her face, and she brings a shaky hand up to his face.

[He puts his hand over her's and closes his eyes.]

Don't talk like that. You make it sound like you're already dead.

[She sighs, annoyed that he doesn't see that she looks like death once again.]

I hate to disappoint you, but it feels like I'm about to die. It's terrible. At least you're still feeling well?

[He moves his hand from hers and runs it over her hair before smiling sadly down at her.]

You're not going to die, My Queen.

[He leans in and presses his lips to hers. Afterward he leans back so he can gauge her reaction.]

If you do how are we going to figure that out?

[She feels like she's knocking on death's door and he chooses now of all times to almost kiss her? NOW? His timing is worse that Chuck's, honestly. Of all the times to finally make a move.

She frowns up at him, trying to figure out how she's supposed to respond. She's too tired to figure this out right now. She's not angry, just speechless and unsure of what he's attempting to do.]

Don't kiss me out of pity. When I die, I'll come back the same as everyone else, won't I?

[She didn't hate his attempt, however, so she does her best confident smile, given the situation.]

I don't want to make you sick, Anakin.

Just because we can come back doesn't make it any easier for me to let you go.

[The smile doesn't do much to assure him but the fact she's trying means something. He smirks.]

I'm already showing symptoms again as well and if I'm sick I'm at least getting a kiss out of it.

You have terrible timing. [She lightly scolds him, and falls quiet for a few prolonged moments as she looks up at his face, trying to memorize that annoyingly cocky expression.]

I suppose I could let you win, though, just this once.

[She gathers up a lot of strength in order to lean up enough to kiss him. It's nowhere near as long or meaningful as she'd like, and it's nothing like out of an Audrey movie, but it's all she can give right now.]

There. Is that better?

[Lucky for her Anakin doesn't know any Audrey movies... still this could all be under better circumstances. That doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy it or kiss back. In fact he kisses back as softly as he can, afraid he'll break her.]

That was perfect.

[Looking down at her he finally admits to himself how much he's grown to care about her. He sees so much more in her than most others seem to because he took the time... and she never stopped trying to annoy him. He can't help but smile sadly again as he pulls her in even tighter and rests his cheek against her forehead.]

Don't give up on me.

I never just give up. [She's almost offended as she informs him of this, and huffs a little.] But eventually the body stops caring about what you want and does what it feels like.

[Basically, she's sick and tired of feeling this way and unless there's a cure, please don't be afraid to let her die. Only she can't say this in words, because the thought of actually dying terrifies her.]

Do you know what happens when people die here? How you end up in the tanks, and how they help you come back?

[It's the thought that counts with Anakin and thanks to being entirely focused on her right now that feeling comes across as clear as day.]

You's have to ask Jaina. I only know what it feels like to do where I'm from and wake up here. I don't think they're the same thing.

Then we should find somewhere more comfortable, and you should tell me what that's like. [Even while held romantically in someone's arms while knocking on death's door, Blair Waldorf is bossy. Sorry, Anakin.]

I want to know, just in case.

[If he had the strength he'd laugh.]

Yes, dear.

[He pulls on the Force to revitalize himself and hide just how sick he is. He puts an arm under her legs and lifts her into his arms as he stand up. If she weighs anything he refuses to show it as he begins to carry her to his room.]

It hurts... but not for long.

I figured. [She goes quiet and still after that, grateful for the chance to just curl up in his arms and get to rest. She doesn't even notice that they're going to his room, and doesn't really care where they're at as long as she's somewhere soft and cushy.]

I'm not scared, if you're worried. [It's a lie, but a convincing one.]

[Having made it to his room he sets her down on the bed, pulling the covers up over her before sitting down beside her and taking a hold of her hand.]

You're not going to die, your highness. That's why I'm not worried.
