What: Meet-up and debriefing for the mission, in which the group is divided into three teams. A Watchtower team, and two field teams to hit both warehouses. ALL REPLIES TO THIS POST SHOULD BE IN ACTIONSPAM FORMAT. DON'T LET MY PROSE FOOL YOU.

The meeting point was far from glamorous. Lily had promised a safe house, an abandoned office building that they could all congregate. She didn't say it'd be, well, comfy. Buffy wasn't entirely surprised, though. It was hard to imagine comfy anything down in this part of the planet. But, it was big enough that it was easy to find and it had enough space for the roughly thirty people that Buffy was expecting to show.
They all filtered in gradually, some in groups, some by themselves, all looking prepared and ready. Looking determined. It was a look she liked to see. When she was sure she'd gotten the right headcount -- 28 people, all ready to fight the good fight -- she climbed up on top of a shipping container and waited for them to quiet down. They'd figure it out on their own that she was demanding their attention.
And when they did, she spoke.
"You guys have come a long way for this. Every single one of you is braver than I ever could have asked you to be for coming here today. And every single one of you have some reason to be here. Something that you're fighting for. Someone." A beat of silence fell through the room as she looked around at their face. Then, she nodded. "Good. I want you to hold onto that. Because, when things get going in there, believe me. You're going to need it.
"Not everyone in this room is going to survive. I can tell you that right now. The Crimson Terror is ruthless. They may be evil, but they believe in what they're doing, and they are not going to let us just walk out of there. So, yeah. They'll get some of us. Someone who wasn't fast enough, someone who wasn't ready, someone whose head wasn't in the game. Make sure that someone isn't you." She hopped down off the shipping container easily, then hit a button on the side. The door made a loud, slow groan as it opened, a hiss of air releasing from the bottom as the contents were revealed. Inside, there were weapons. Lining the walls, laid out on tables. Most of them belonged to Buffy, but some she'd picked up through Lily's connections. Vibro-swords, axes, staves. Even blasters.
"If you don't have a weapon already, when I'm done, you will." She pulled her vibro-axe off the table, a personal favorite, and turned it over in her hands. "You're gonna need it." She swung the axe around in a slightly dangerous circle, enough to put the people around her on edge if they didn't know just how well they could trust the Slayer with a weapon, and then began to pace through the group.
"There are two warehouses that the Crimson Terror has been working out of. Both are a few levels beneath our feet, and both have something that we want from them. Research. A cure. But, they also have security. Security that we're gonna need to disable before we can get inside. Lily and Lois have taken care of this for us." She gave a nod to the ladies, appreciative and demanding some respect from the group for the both of them. "A facility called Watchtower's a few blocks from here. Those of you with any technical skills, that's where you'll be. I know nobody wants to be benched here, but believe me. You're more important in this than any of us.
"With the help of Watchtower's systems, we're going to get the upper hand. Their Lily and Lois' teams will knock out the central power for the buildings, allowing us enough of an element of surprise to catch their security off-guard and get inside. Andrew. Logan. Anya. Kevin." She looked to them each individually, pointedly. "You're with them. Don't let me down." And then she looked away again, addressing the rest of them. Because Watchtower would get their more specific run-down later. For now, she needed to lay it out for everyone to get an idea.
"From there, the game is on. We don't know who they have protecting this place or what else we're going to find inside. We need to be ready. There will be multiple teams in each warehouse. Team leaders will give you guys an idea of what you're responsible for -- team leaders, you already know who you are." Through the crowd, her eyes picked out Riley, Spike, Dean, Faith, Tonks and Varric. "I expect your main priority here to be survival. Not just our survival.
"I don't want casualties in this. These people are evil, but they're human. If you have a choice to run or kill them, you run. If you have a chance to knock them out but keep their head attached, you take it. No one dies unless it's your only choice. That said … you may not have a choice. And you need to be ready for that inevitability."
Cautiously, surreptitiously, her gaze traveled between Spike, Faith, Dean and Sam. It wasn't a good look. It was a look of subtle, warranted concern. They'd killed before, they'd do it again. If anyone was ready to pull the trigger if they needed to, it was those four, but that didn't make her happier about it. It didn't make her optimistic about whether Spike and Faith would walk out of this the same as they went in if they did wind up having to kill someone.
"Watchtower's going to have eyes and ears on us at all times when we go in. Two teams will be responsible for jacking them into the security terminals at the warehouses. Riley, Tonks, you guys need to get some tech support in there. Natasha, Xander -- you're with Riley. Axel, Tron -- you're with Tonks. Don't let me down. If Watchtower can't get into those terminals, we're going in blind.
"Jacen and Stefan are with me. My team and Faith's -- Brennan, Marian, Anders. That's you guys. We'll be heading straight for the labs. They're keeping the cure somewhere secure, and our number one priority needs to be grabbing it and getting ten exits beyond gone before they can react. Watchtower will be our guardian angels getting us in the right direction.
"The rest of you have one mission and one mission only. Information. Varric, you're taking Zuko and Spartan. Spike, you've got Beck and Zekk -- and oh god, I'm rhyming. Okay, rhymyeness aside? Dean, Sam, you're with Cordy. I want you guys scouring the place. Whatever you can find that'll implicate the Terror. We need hard evidence. Turn the warehouse upside down for all I care, but get us what we need to put this guys away for good. The bombings, the plague, whatever you can pin on them, just find something that'll make sure it sticks when we take it to the Republic."
She came back around to the front of the room, looking out on all of them with a proud, confident expression curling the edges of her mouth into a smile. This many people, they really had a chance. No. They had more than a chance. Looking out now, having it laid out before them, she realized. They didn't just have a chance. They were going to win.
"Converge back here when it's over. Round up your teams and come see me, I'll get you what you need. We'll get weapons to the weaponless and plans to the planes and by the time you leave here? You'll know what I already do. That by the time the night's over, we will have a cure. And we will have stopped these monsters before anyone else can die.
"We make our move at sunset."
