Flynn didn't have all that much of a problem staying in, especially since he got to talk with Sam, and Tron, and going out where people were would get them additionally worried. After his last stint, he was trying to be careful. Not for his own sake, but for the sake of others who he'd let down for so long.

The roof, on the other hand, was usually deserted, and feeling the sun - even the sunset - on his skin was too long missed to forgo it completely.

Tonight, however, there was somebody there. Flynn hovered on the exit for a moment, then started across anyway, heading to kneel on the edge, not too near to the stranger, but not far away to seem that he was hiding.

"Good evening." Calm. Steady.

Axel might not have been paying attention to the background noise of traffic, but he did hear the door that led down into the building opening and, a moment later, someone else coming out onto the roof. He didn't react, at first. It was a free rooftop, after all; not like he had any right to tell someone they couldn't be there.

When the other person greeted him, however, he glanced up, the other's voice drawing him out of his thoughts. "Hmm?", he said, then offered a brief smile in return. "Oh. Hey," he said, giving a little wave.

The other occupant of the roof proved to be an older man, with gray hair and a beard, currently kneeling on near the edge of the roof not far away. After a moment of studying the other man, and allowing the other man to study him, if he wanted, Axel spoke up again. "Did you come up here to think too?", he asked. There were a limited number of reasons to come up to a rooftop alone, after all.

"Mmm." Flynn arranged himself into the easily maintained kneeling pose that was so familiar to his bone and muscles by now. "To catch a bit of unfiltered air, maybe. Watch the sunset. Watch life."

He shrugged, a tiny little bit. "I've had a long time to think. My thoughts don't hold many surprises anymore."

After a moment, he added, "but it is a good place for thinking, too. Suggests... perspective."

Axel nodded. "If you like sunsets, you should see the ones in Twilight Town," he said, smiling slightly. "This place has nothin' on them." A slight pause. "Me and Roxas used to go up to the clocktower there all the time after work. We'd have ice cream, watch the sunset, and just talk about whatever. Stupid stuff, usually. Serious stuff, sometimes."

He shrugged slightly. "Things always just seemed to be a little easier to figure out up there. Guess that's why I came up here; thought it might have the same effect." He gave a small half-smirk, momentarily glancing down and away as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Heh... doesn't seem to be doing much good, though."

After a moment, he turned back to the other man. "Name's Axel, by the way. Got it memorized?"
