Who: Axel and Flynn
Where: The roof of the building where they both live
When: A day or two after Darth Malek makes his offer, early evening
What: Axel was thinking, trying to figure things out without much success. Then Flynn showed up.

The roof, on the other hand, was usually deserted, and feeling the sun - even the sunset - on his skin was too long missed to forgo it completely.
Tonight, however, there was somebody there. Flynn hovered on the exit for a moment, then started across anyway, heading to kneel on the edge, not too near to the stranger, but not far away to seem that he was hiding.
"Good evening." Calm. Steady.

When the other person greeted him, however, he glanced up, the other's voice drawing him out of his thoughts. "Hmm?", he said, then offered a brief smile in return. "Oh. Hey," he said, giving a little wave.
The other occupant of the roof proved to be an older man, with gray hair and a beard, currently kneeling on near the edge of the roof not far away. After a moment of studying the other man, and allowing the other man to study him, if he wanted, Axel spoke up again. "Did you come up here to think too?", he asked. There were a limited number of reasons to come up to a rooftop alone, after all.

He shrugged, a tiny little bit. "I've had a long time to think. My thoughts don't hold many surprises anymore."
After a moment, he added, "but it is a good place for thinking, too. Suggests... perspective."

He shrugged slightly. "Things always just seemed to be a little easier to figure out up there. Guess that's why I came up here; thought it might have the same effect." He gave a small half-smirk, momentarily glancing down and away as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Heh... doesn't seem to be doing much good, though."
After a moment, he turned back to the other man. "Name's Axel, by the way. Got it memorized?"
