Dixie is very close to getting her doctorate
My dog is SO smart!
We've been trying to teach Dixie some more tricks and yesterday she suddenly got it. I don't know if that's normal with dogs but with her you will teach her and teach her and it just doesn't seem to be sinking in at all and then one day she just does it, like it's random or something. My Dad says we should be teaching her Nuclear Physics or something because she is so smart. I think that's just silly. She couldn't turn the pages of the textbooks!
Anyway, now Dixie can (in order of her learning them):
Stay
Sit
Lie Down
Heel
Handshake
Beg (sitting and lifting both front legs in air)
Roll Over
She also knows the words "Walkies", "Dentabone", "Pigskin", "Cuddles", "Mum" and "Dad" (Adrian taught her that, I SWEAR!) and "in your bed" and reacts to them accordingly.
