This is an e-mail I received, and was sent campus wide it has been approved for your viewing by the school and family.
"Please join us tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Centennial Hall Formal Lounge to remember Matthew Crick, a former Centennial resident, who died yesterday at his home. Staff from the WCSU Counseling Center will be on hand to facilitate a discussion and answer questions about depression and suicide from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The Counseling Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and evenings by appointment at (203) 837-8690. For assistance 24/7, please call the Danbury Crisis Intervention Hotline at (888) 447-3339. Information about an on-campus memorial service will be made available as details are finalized."
I will openly say I did not know this person, but I do know what it is like to be on the edge. I know what it is like to have nothing matter, to have nothing to lose and to be truly alone. I have lost many that were near and dear to me, and on one occasion many almost lost me. I am here. If anyone wants or needs to talk I'm always around, and my phone is always on. Don't wait or hesitate to call me. I know most of you reading this don't even attend my school but the offer stands just the same. I am always here to talk, to listen, to be whatever may be needed.
