So, I'm still working for Madcap - picked up my revised script, my Fall contract, and learned that I do, in fact, have a new tour partner (named Jenn - the show will be...interesting...with a woman) this afternoon.
Then headed to Kona Bistro to meet my friends Amy and Amy, both rabbinical students, both from Texas. Amy H. and I had breakfast last October, and I haven't seen her since. Partly because of my hectic schedule, partly because of her crazy schedule, partly because of laziness on both of our parts. Amy R. is dating a friend of ours from Texas who's made out with both Aaron and I, and is now on his second tour of duty with the Navy. We were joined by our friend Ana, another rabbinical student, also from Texas, who is engaged to a guy from Colorado I had a wicked crush on in high school. Sweet bearish beautiful guy. Sadly, he didn't join us.
Kona was taken over by the Cincinnati Men's Chorus, which made for some nice eye candy. I was wearing probably the gayest shirt I own, a leather wristband, my ring, and my blingy watch. They zoomed in on Glenn and I as the fags not with their group, and the eye-tennis was tons of fun. Also ran into
cincycub, who I'd been meaning to make time to meet for ages - but you all know how I am about that. Nice meeting you, Brian!
We dished about old friends - some funny news, some sad news. Weddings and deaths and destructive relationships. We made bad Hebrew puns. I reinforced my decision not to become a rabbi - these folks have NO LIFE. They didn't even know the basics of Cincinnati geography - and they've lived here a year. Had never heard of Sawyer Point. I felt bad for them - and vow to rescue.
Now we're off to the reopening of the bar side of Hamburger Mary's here in town. Should be fun. Or at least mildly amusing.
