Chapter 1, in which Alan battles his epically stupid stomach.

Yeah. Lame. I'd go to sleep, but the stomach's having none of that. Worst part is that I'm stone cold sober! Stupid stomach bug....

So... yeah! What I'm up to!

Rehearsing for "Suckers", in which I play a modern day, ukulele playing and harmony singing vampire. It's gonna be swank. If you're in NY, you should come see it! It's gonna be part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. More info on that later once I've got a website to toss at you all where you can buy tickets.

After "Suckers" is done, I'm doing further workshopping on "Silent Night", a World War 1 piece about the Christmas Truce in 1914. This piece is awesome mainly because I've been with the piece since it began as improvised exercises, and the character has been literally written around me. The producing company, Dreamscape, is doing some fundraising and will be mounting a production later this year, most likely in December/January.

Other news... job hunting! I've got a few things in the works. I'm researching how to get training to be a personal trainer, and how to get certification. Apparently the stimulus package has educational money for training people in "growth industries" and personal trainers made that list. So I might even swing gettin' Obama to pay for my personal trainer education! Woo! Gotta love dat gubbament money.

In the long run I'd like to couple this with some sort of certification in nutrition, with the overall idea of being an all inclusive health analyst. A one stop shop for health and fitness, as it were. I'd like to make a business of that eventually. I've yet to research much into the nutrition side of this, but that's one long run idea.

The final job hunting bit is that I've got a potential job on the line as a Brand Development Specialist. It somehow involves getting other people to drink liquor. A job... made for me? More info on that mystery as it unfolds.

And now, back to the little tango number I like to call "Fuck you, #2."
