Tonight's Heroes

I actually thought it was rather...ho-hum.

There weren't any big shockers, no major cliffhangers that we've gotten accustomed to. I was glad to see what seemed to be last season's deadweight, Maya, finally be of use, and it was cool to see Suresh with powers. But still, from the previews they showed this season might be a little disappointing. It seems like they're trying to shake things up, if only because last season wasn't as well received as the first (hey, I know! Let's make everyone's favorite characters (Claire, Peter) dark!). Also, the addition of the super villain characters seems like this might purely be a battle of good vs. evil instead of the in-depth story we saw in season 1. Time will tell, I suppose.

While we're on the subject of premieres, I was more impressed with the Sarah Connor Chronicles premiere. Unlike Heroes, this episode had moments that kept you on edge. It'll also be interesting to see this "human" side of Cameron. Besides, I love seeing Summer Glau in this role. The casting for her role was done perfectly, and I'm a big fan of the humor in the show (even if it is a little cheesy).
