It is an unusual thief that breaks into one's house to give them something, especially something so advanced.

What is the relevance of this statement?

An observation. Yours is not the first case of this happening.

Are there many? It would not be as strange if they were all to have appeared near one's person - the nature of the device, perhaps some sort of harmonic resonation...

It would appear so. Someone out there clearly has a plan for us.

That is a new theory.

It is hypothesized that each person creates their own disruption - a harmonic frequency. If these frequencies exist, they could theoretically be used to track or harness a person or object in a similar way that magnets of different poles attract.

Is it possible to hear this [a small pause] frequency?

Right now, it's mere existence is theoretical. Experimental research to hear it has not even been hypothesized, nevertheless actually tried.

A creature capable of hearing this sound would be able hear the universe at the atomic level. In comparison, the beat of the housefly's wings would seem to be the apocalypse. Even if this creature were oo exist, communication between us and it would be impossible, simply because we would overload it with a mere whisper.

Something truly out of the ordinary. It sounds almost divine.

Divinity is utterly unnecessary. Simply nature at work.

God speaks in many way, even through nature.

Unless God can be defined, quantified, derived from, or proven, I see no logical reason to include him in any theory whatsoever.

He finds your lack of faith disturbing. patternprophet August 23 2009, 19:14:19 UTC
Even in the case of the notebooks, which seem to defy reason?

scientists are very silly folk in that respect. alwayslogical August 23 2009, 19:20:29 UTC
The notebooks do not defy reason, sir. It seems you have simply taken something which we do not understand and assumed it to be something we can not understand.

May I have your permission for Leoben to bother Spock, religion-wise? patternprophet August 23 2009, 19:27:17 UTC
Can not understand at the moment. Their place in God's plan has yet to be revealed.

of course! though spock will brush him off with science and logic! and be peeved at him. alwayslogical August 23 2009, 19:29:34 UTC
Do you believe that we require God to understand these journals? That, somehow, his permission is requested for our understanding?
