[ This is a radio interview of a police conference, addressing the current goings on. Feel free to have been there live, or be hearing it now for the first time via radio. Those in the police, at the conference live, or just those paying attention, will recognize the officer speaking as Jean De Wolfe. ]
Good evening, New York. I have been elected to speak on behalf of the NYPD regarding the recent arsons around the city.
Although we are not at liberty to divulge every detail, rest assured we have compiled a fair amount of information already that will hopefully lead us towards an arrest in the near future. We have every reason to suspect multiple arsonists at this point -- [ Pause as a question is asked, barely audible on radio. ] no, we won't divulge what lead us to this information. They may be copycats, each to serve a different purpose, but me and my fellow officers are more inclined to suspect a coordinated effort working towards a still undefined goal.
As of now, we will be listening to and accepting civilian help leading us towards an arrest. If you know anything, you are doing your city a disservice by not informing us. The investigation of ex-Captain Stacy's death will continue as planned. I will not do my predecessor any disservice.
(OOC: Feel free to use this post for in-journal responses/discussion, if you so choose to.)
