Tim did need a new suit. Bruce could have taken him to get measured, or Alfred, but Dick was free, and it seemed a perfect time for brotherly bonding. Tim had not really wanted to go, but Dick had insisted.
Now they stood outside Alterations. Neither of them had been before. Dick had heard good things about it and wanted to try it out.
Of course, he had an ulterior motive, but Tim didn't need to know that. Dick knew Stephanie Brown worked here. He knew she was here today. He knew she did most of the actual sewing and measuring. And he knew that Steph was secretly the Spoiler, and Tim's mysterious vigilante girlfriend.
Not that he could admit to any of these. As far as Tim or Steph could know, he was just Dick Grayson, not Nightwing. But that didn't mean he could sneakily use information he'd gotten as Nightwing to make things maybe a little easier on the two of them. He'd see what happened, anyway.
