Barney arrived at the bar, and looked around. Looked the same as it always did, and Barney smiled. Daddy's home, he thought, going over to bar to order a drink. He didn't really want to be bored waiting for Alfred, unless Alfred was already there. He checked his pocket, making sure that weird notebook was still there, as well as his paper mistletoe, which he had carefully torn out of the book. He wondered briefly if his tearing out would tear it out of all the books. Maybe Alfred knew.
He stood by the bar, figuring it was a good place to wait. He could probably get a few conversations going, maybe try out the mistletoe, and generally look available. It wasn't like him to look like he was waiting for anyone. Still, it was kind of neat, waiting for someone that he'd written to. Like a blind date. Only not.
