I had to say that given any circumstances, I wouldn't exchange a shift in Central Park for a night back in the city. Unlike the other folks in the squad, I enjoyed this gig. Unlike the rest of the city, the park's quiet and haunting. Not that I liked scary places, but the park was scary enough to keep you on your toes but the atmosphere was just as relaxing that you could forget your troubles for the day. Central Park has the capacity to rip you away from the chaos of the city. With the ruckus that's been happening lately, this was the most I can have for a break.
The moon was bright, reminding me of that cheery song on the radio. With flighty steps and a playful stride, I recalled the notes in my head as though the radio was loud beside me. "Blue moon~, you saw me standin' alone. Without a dream in my heart. Without a love of my own."
A smile came on to my face as I kept singing to the song. I thought the night might be nice and relaxing. I did have company coming. At least it wouldn't be that boring. At least I wouldn't be alone tonight.
