I probably should've mentioned that I've now moved into the House Of Crack, which is currently occupied by myself, alinak and davechicken. And I've *finally* unpacked. Mostly. There are still things to be nailed into the walls (but no people), but otherwise all's sorted. I've actually been back a couple of days, but since I've been so scattered that I've taken to such idiocies as leaving my wallet at the ITS desk, it's hardly surprising that I haven't updated properly.
Anyway, we had singing_hamster and Richard over for dinner yesterday, which as always spawned some bizarre conversations and amusement, and a Quantum Leap episode with bad schmoopiness in. But we'll forgive Sam, he's only human. The chick, on the other hand, was most irritating. We're not sure she should've survived.
I also now have my timetable, though I'm only halfway through putting it together, and of course it only accounts for my *scheduled* contact time (i.e. lectures/workshops), and as such, only covers the half of my course that isn't the project. So I need to talk to the good Drs Cann and Hodgson (or Martin and David, depending on how much like my summer project the setup is) and see what the hell's happening, and sort out the student mentoring/teacher training thing I've got myself signed on for. They need to do a criminal background check, so I might have to actually locate my birth certificate. If I can persuade my father to release it from the lockbox. Frankly, I'm 21 years old, and should be able to look after all my own documents myself, but as yesterday's incident with the wallet so aptly proves, I'm not terribly responsible with important identifying materials. Meh.
