I'm in Lake George right now which is in upstate New York. Today we went swimming in the lake, and it was beautiful. The water was cold but refreshing and the view was the grand mountains of blue and green that seperated the lake from the sky. I floated on my back and traveled with the earth, watching the clean clouds pass over my body. The air was sweet, a mid 70s, and the sun would peak himself out from the clouds every few minutes to allow my skin to goosebump and turn to a nice pink. I watched the families laugh and the children jump from the pier. I listened to the motor boats wisp by, and admired the islands off in the distance. My father just kept saying, " Laura this is the closest to paradise you can get.". I thought, well ya, sure, but then there are the beaches in Italy. But for today, until today, this was the closest to paradise I have been. I had the sun, the sky, the water, and laughter all around.
You can't beat that.
