I went to the first Catholic mass that I can remember. (It was a mass in Orlando that my Uncle Terry arranged to have dedicated in memory of my grandmothers, since the Catholic church didn't give her a proper funeral the first go around.) It was quite neat. I didn't know what was going on some of the time, didn't know the prayers and such. The Lord's Supper (Mystery of the Faith, is what they call it) was interesting. I didn't realize they still used wine. After the service my dad was explaining why they do certain things and what things mean. It was all very cool, very interesting. It's a fascinating faith. I learned a lot today.
After we left, we went to my Uncle Terry's house for brunch. Had a pretty good time. Got to see Mrs. Rosemary Mare again. She's such a neat, nice lady, very wise. She's always got something good to say, some good piece of motherly advice to give. She was really good friends with Grandma. *sigh* I miss that lady. I found out today that Aunt Becky has a necklace and earrings Grandma got for me when they went to Biloxi, Miss. to gamble on the river before she died. I need to get that. She was too young at heart to die. I'm too young for her to have died.
I got home around 4 ish, and have been sitting around on the computer. I need to get some (well, a lot) of reading on Pride and Prejudice done and still type up my letter, or at least get an outline or something done.
At Mrs. Cannon and Mrs. Mare thought I was older than a senior today. Mrs. Lynch thought I was 16. *sigh* It's a slight improvement. ;)
