Pour Jim's
I had the most fun tonight hanging out with my Mom and Bill. We went to a tavern called Pour Jim's that we happened to pass on our way to Sacandaga Lake and it turned out to be a wicked awsome place. It was pretty cheap considering how good the food was and they had a guy playing music and singing - he had an impressive voice and a good sense of humor. It was nice to hang out with my parents in a noisy bar atmostphere where I didn't feel out of place at all. (I hate snooty quiet resturants.) It's otally worth the drive and I definetly plan on makinf that my new favorite hang out.
I had a nice morning hanging out with Sandy too - she thought apple picking was fun and shs liked cider donuts so it was an overall success. We went to the Visher's Ferry nature Preserve and had a picnic afterwards. Organic food + Apple cider + Nature makes for a really nice lunch lol. We took a walk along the canal and saw a bunch of cool little animals. There was a Blue Heron perhed on a log, a couple of turtles, a snake and a bunch of frogs. There was also a guy there that set a chipmunk fre that had been in someone's house...I gave him a high-five for being cool and not killing it. He called it his "Chipmunk relocation program" haha.
It was a 5 star day. Sandy and I added bowling, pumpkin carving/painting and hiking to our list of things to do in weeks to come.
It felt weird to pass right by morgan's house and not stop by today ...but I think i've been going there too much lately...more than 3 times a week is kindof like invading the "family time". Granted, I feel like a part of the family...but I think it'll be good to take a little break from them. Once i start working nights I'll probably only see them one day a week. =/
